Our visitors are back..

We love the Wildlife that surrounds our house, especially the Deers, only yesterday we had a visit from them in the garden, they were skittering about..... a pleasure to watch. Here are a few photos of them in the garden.

At last some life has appeared in the Orchard & Potager, we have had so much rain, I didn't think anything was going to happen, out comes the sun...and we are sprouting vegetation.  Lots of fruit popping out, last year we had no fruit at all due to a late frost, but this year I think it is going to be a bumper crop....so lots of Jam making and Chutneys ahead...

Spectacular sunsets from home....

We are very fortunate to see some spectacular sunsets from our home, I love watching the sunset behind the trees, it changes and disappears so quickly.. the colours of warmth are amazing, slowly turning into balls of fire. Sunset colours are typically more brilliant, because the evening air contains more particles than morning air.

We sit many an evening with G&T in our hands watching it set..the end of another day..

Ladies Lunch at Cafe Portebleue...

Another delicious lunch at Cafe Portebleue, I meet up with some lovely ladies every  1-2 months (must be more regular) for our Ladies Lunch, and we get together for a chat and a lovely meal. We do try different restaurants as we have so many good ones to choose from...Cafe Portebleue being one of the favourites.

                                                                  Ladies lunch

Cafe Portebleue has a lovely ambience about the place, a relaxing rustic restaurant, with very pleasant staff.....and the food, well, we keep going back, so they must be doing something right......actually, delicious.

Cafe Portebleue is in the beautiful village of Verteuil-sur-Charente, certainly a place to have a leisurely walk around and then finish off with a a beautiful lunch, a great day out...
