My favourite wildlife...Deer..
Had to show you these beauties, saw them as we were coming back from shopping. There is something about Deer, that are elegant, beautiful and move with such finesse ...
I have to agree with you; deer do have an elegance about them and run with such graceful strength. What a wonderful sight you encountered on your way home! I'm pleased you decided to share their photos at "Sunlit Sunday".
As an aside, I'm intrigued by the book in your sidebar; I'll have to look into reading "The Olive Farm".
Thank you for popping over to say hello, I have my camera with me all the time now,as I just never know what is around the corner. The Olive Farm books are a great read and there are sequels. X
Congrats on your rural life. That is for me. Have lived in rural Kentucky all my life. We are near a private forest and deer are everywhere. They know how we are amazed by them. They seem to love to stand for photos. QMM
Love to see deer too, except if they visit my gardens! You got some nice shots of the deer. Ours are always quick to run off! Sounds like you are living in a beautiful place!
Deer are beautiful, graceful creatures. They are getting a very bad reputation in our area because they eat so much of the farmers' crops and of people's gardens. Lovely photos.
Thank you for popping over. I can understand that they could be a problem, but here in France, the Hunters keep on top of the number of Deers, and then they Hunt them down if there are too many. :-(
What a thrill to see such gentle creatures that seem as fascinated by you, as you are of them. I see from your comment above that the numbers are culled when necessary which works well if controlled.
They are beautiful creatures, I love their small faces. Really cute!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your kind comments and for visiting My Rural French Life. X

DeleteI checked online at my library and saw that there is a copy there. I'll make a point of reading it; it's always nice to get a good recommendation.
DeleteI, too, love deer. They are poetry in motion aren't they?! How lucky you are to be able to see them often. Happy Sunlit Sunday.
