Scrumptious meal at Cheval Blanc in Luxé...

We had a scrumptious meal with family at the Cheval Blanc in Luxé yesterday, the quality and standard was as usual,  excellent. This restaurant is tucked away in a small village. Staff are very friendly and attentive, nothing is too much trouble....if you ever get the opportunity to give this gem a visit, then please do, you will not regret it... Bon Appétit..

Flowers Festival in the beautiful village of Verteuil-sur-Charente

It was a lovely day today for a walk around our local flower festival in of the village Verteuil. There were some beautiful flowers and plants along with fruit & vegetables, all ready to be grown. Colours of the hanging baskets were beautiful and would certainly brighten up a dull wall or dark corner.

Lots of the locals attended and the festival was very well supported by all garden lovers...it also had a Beer tent and food tents, we had our usual Hot dog, frites and a beer...yum...

The festival was held in the grounds of the absolutely stunning Château of Verteuil, it was a lovely opportunity to walk around the gardens.

I have taken also a few photos of the village, a village I love dearly with lots of character.
