Been a bit of a foodie fortnight...

It certainly has been a bit of a foodie fortnight for us...so much for cutting down.

It was the annual Moules & Frites night in Verteuil and Barro.  We met up with a few friends, and they were delightful evenings, weather could not have been better....the atmosphere added to the successful events. The Moules were delicious, along with cheese and dessert and plenty of wine to accompany it.

Music was playing, people dancing, we even had some belly dancers at one evening...entertaining to watch...and for Moi...I was dragged...yes dragged up to do the Conga.. :-)  It was fun...

We had a superb meal at one of our favourite restaurants in Luxé, Auberge de Cheval Blanc, superb value for money. Presentation and quality amazing, and they use all fresh and local produce. Always very busy and you have to pre book a table. Always a favourite of ours..

We went for another delicious meal with friends, it was their recommendation and a very good one too...it was the Beau Rivage in Mansle..    It will be great to have another restaurant to add to our list of places to eat. Food superb, can highly recommend.

Our village of Verteuil held an ox-roast lunch. It was a great get together again with friends in glorious sunshine, held under a Marquee. I huge roast sizzling away on a open fire....

To finish my food extravaganza, hubby took me out for a superb Birthday meal while we were staying in Tours....the food was absolutely delicious, presentation excellent...all in all a very enjoyable evening...
