The many faces of Deer...

I have come across these photos taken over the last year. The Deers we have seen have been stunning and beautiful, we never get bored of seeing them, in fact I still get excited when I see them. We have seen many on our walks, mainly Roe Deer & Red Deer, and many with their Fawns. I hope you enjoy seeing these photos as much as we do..

Angoulême Fêtes des Gastronomades.

We have a had a lovely morning this morning in Angoulême, they were holding their 3 day Gastronomades in the City centre.

The ever-popular 3 day food fest runs in November. Not only does the show feature some of the region's top chefs "jousting"alongside cooking demonstrations and workshops, but it is a showcase for the region's many artisanal producers....we were tempted by the many treats on offer..

Our Autumn Trees..

This is a very pretty time of year, the colours are stunning, warm rich colours. Today on our walk I decided to take photos of what was above me and having the sun as a contrast and backdrop for colours..we had great results.

Delbard Jardinerie Ruffec

Had a walk around the local garden centre at Ruffec, it was getting ready for Xmas. Lovely to see the Xmas trees and lights twinkling away, reminding you that Xmas is just around the corner.

Saw some lovely plants, some with amazing colours and unusual, I managed to get some potting compost as time to start potting my seeds ready for the greenhouse early next year. It will be the first time I have done this so looking forward to the results...well I hope I have some.. :-)

Came across some birds in the garden centre as well, don't like to see birds caged, not their natural habitat, but they were so beautiful, I just wanted to open the cages and let them go...I got the biggest wolf whistle in the garden centre, haven't had one of those for a while, felt quite chuffed with myself  thinking well I can't look that bad.....until I came across Percy parrot , I had to say hello and yes another wolf whistle..well when you get to my age... beggars can't be choosers.. :-)
